IMO:

It is not a right, but in this country we currently have the situation that 
we have a lot of people who want broadband, and a lot more who would welcome 
faster net/pr0n access. We also have several, although their numbers are 
dwindling after all these years, companies who wish to supply such a service. 
But both sides are being screwed by BT and the toothless Oftel.

Yeah, it's not a right, it won't make you happy, more successful or 
attractive to the opposite sex, but it certainly beats a 56k modem.

Cable modems are pretty sweet, probably better than ADSL for most people 
BTW...
