[Sheflug] Locales Debian and libgnomeprint

Hi everyone.

The other weekend, I tried to upgrade my laptop from potato to Woody. In the
classic style it's mostly worked. I'm left with one, possibly 2 problems:

Pretty much all over place scattered like graffiti I"m getting warings that my
current locale is not supported, be that mostly by the C library or perl having
a whinge. I have the locales package installed that has a matching version
number to libc6. when I installed it it removed i18n*** where *** is something.
That worried me at the time

Does anyone know a simple way of finding out which locales are support by the c
library?

My second problem is either caused by the above or that I made the mistake of
installing a ximian packaged version of libgnomeprint, libgnomeprint11. The
consequnece being that if I call up the about dialog from any GNOME problem
there is no readable text therein, I just get one charater wide rectangles
inplace of the normal text.

My current plan is to wait till woody is released, I just thought somebody out
their might know of a quicker solution

Simon.
