Open BSD is easy to install and so are the others.  Problem comes 
with Open BSD when you want it to work with anything other than an 
ethernet card.  The other BSDs are much easier to use.

Final configuration.....  You need to be able to understand IPFW very 
quickly......

this is the best document that I have seen on the net and makes most 
of the paper books look kind of obsolete.  It's easy to understand.  

As for GUIs and firewalls ?  They died out the same year that they 
were suggested.  All the firewalls I've seen are done by command 
line.  Never seen anything else :)
