Now here is the confusing bit. Perhaps the email subject should be renamed
"WHAT'S GOING ON" Since my last email, I must have rebooted into Linux 3 or
4 times, switching off for a while or rebooting into windows etc. Each time I
booted into Linux, I tried mounting the cdrom drives. Now I find, that
inserting a cdrom and closing the drive door, it auto mounts itself? No need
to manually mount the drive. Also, scd0 and scd1 have now swopped as to which
drive they are referencing. I've not altered anything, apart from downloading
via the update manager, updates for glibc and 2 other files which stated were
for the basic running of the filesystem. Is there a bug in the basic download
2 cd set? and it needs these updates.
Thanks everyone anyway, but as the man who got a payrise said, "it would be
nice to know why"
