Just been to Miguel's Mono presentation in New York.  I find the report 
that you refer to is either misleading or somone is misinformed. 
Apologies if I'm wrong :)

Anyway, this might be something that is something to do with free 
software versus pay for software ?  Can't come back on this one for 
some days.  I'll be offline.  Maybe you can keep it going for a few 
days while I have a think about it ?
