Hi

Yes, I use an Alcatel USB modem (the one BT supply) and it's part of the
install with mandy 8.1.   You do have to pop over to the alcatel website to
pick up a file to drop into a dir but apart from that it was all done
automatically.  It works really well.  I use my linux box as a
gateway/firewall/server/teas maid so it's always on and as yet has been
online for over 3 weeks np.

So, to answer, yes the Alcatel USB Modem drivers definitely work, and work
well (my ping is even lower on some games than it was when I hooked it
straight up to my XP machine).
