[Sheflug] quest for the dancing KAME (IPv6)
At the moment my IPv4 implementation is a Linux 2.2 ip-masq
firewall/gateway with 4 hosts on a LAN behind it.
I have installed freenet6 on the gateway and have a working IPv6inIPv4
tunnel from the gateway to the 6bone - I can ping6/traceroute6 IPv6 hosts
from the gateway. I have registered for a /48 network, tspc.conf has been
modified according to the instructions on the website.
I have radvd on the gateway and the IPv6 capable hosts get autoconfigured
3ffe:0b80:netw:0001:blah:HWMA:CADD:RESS (ie not just IPv6 addresses and
can ping6 each other, but they can't access the 6bone.
I can access IPv6 sites if I'm simultaneously ping6ing them from the
gateway but not otherwise.
Do I need to run a local routing daemon? On just the gateway or on the
clients as well?
Andrew
