[Sheflug] deleted data

hi,
This is not about linux, but I am hoping someone here may be able to
help...

A couple of days ago I deleted a folder(s) on a windows box. I
desperately need some files it contained. I haven't saved any other data
to the disk since. How would I go about retrieving this data? I know it
is possible, as I have heard of criminals being prosecuted by obtaining
data they have 'deleted' from their machines, but I can't find any info
as to how this is done.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
