[Sheflug] fetching documents with https

Hi,

Does anyone know of tools that run under linux that can fetch
documents from a web server using https?  Curl looks promising, but it
wants me to supply certificates for authentication.  I don't know
anything about certificates, I just have a username and password that
I can supply when I access the relevant web server using a browser.
Any suggestions?
