If you can only get a BT connection - most of us can in Sheffield - 
then I'd go for ... www.zenadsl.com ... for 25 UKP per month with an 
Alcatel 510 router and hardware firewall.  As used by one of the 
OpenBSD developers at his home location.   Other than that you can 
get Telewest or Blueyonder then ask Craig for some help with 
configuration.  Friend of mine uses an OpenBSD for a firewall on his 
Blueyonder connection and it rocks.
