[Sheflug] 2 NICs on a 486
Hi all.
I am setting up a 486 with redhat 7.2
The problem is I have two ne2000 compatible Eisa Network cards.
eth0 works fine, I can ping to other machines on the network.
eth1 lights up when you plug in the rj45 cable but linux will not recognise
it.
Both cards were tested in this machine with windows95 and worked fine.
So far I have looked at editing /etc/modules.conf
also tried append in lilo.conf.
Still cannot get the second card to work.
I want to use this machine as a firewall.
any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks Elliott.
By the way I have looked at the Gibraltar firewall (0.98 and 0.99.4) Both
seem straight forward, my only problem is they don't load the 3c90x module.
maybe I am missing something obvious?
