Re: [Sheflug] ntl bb conx

i had a similar probelm yesterday, though unfornately it isnt with NTL or
with IPCOP... cable and smoothwall.... took me ages to wonder why cable
connection never came up... turns out id forgooten to change the NIC for the
one thats registered with cable.. it only allows connections from that one.
i know it sounds stupid, but easily overlooked; check if its the right NIC
;)

also. I have a windows box that connects direct just fine. I can not get the
red card of the ipcop machine to connect. Upon boot it hangs for ages, and
when checking the card with ifconfig I find it is not being assigned an inet
address.

dhcp option in ipcop for the red card to static and using this address, with
the NTL dns server, which I got from the win box also. No joy. eth1 now has
an inet address, but I can not ping the dns server. It says destination is
unreachable. Again, I can ping this server fine from the win box.
