I would like to setup mandrake 8.2 as an client to
xp. So I can acess the broadband sharing. I have got linux to talk to win 98 but
not very well.
I would like to do Ip masquerade but i need to sort
out the mac addys i have tried registering new mac addys but to no
avail.
what would really need to know is the following
....
how do i set up the samb.conf file with the following data
the network is called
mshome
the pc are connected through a
100mbs hub
my nic ip addy is determined by and dhcp on
192.168.0.1 which is also the gateway and is the blueyonder card.
the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0
and there are no passwords at the moment to keep
things simple.
I have really foggoton how to do this and is
begining to annoy me, switching from and goog OS to a crappy one, for web
access.
once i have go the idea again i will ip masqurade,
as i am fed up of xp crashing when it is only running as a server but i think
that is down to it using msn messinger ........ my brother i don't
know.
