Yes. Probably not IP tables. But, the normal thing for the OpenBSD
developers is to plug the router/firewall into the wall and then plug
a BSD firewall box into that. The hub and LAN is then placed on the
other side of those. This is normal practice for home installations.
It's only in the UK where they think that no one is having a go at
someone that people seem to think that they don't need a front door
lock. If you could see my firewall logs you would know otherwise.

If you want the drug dealer up the road reading all your stuff then
you go ahead :)

No. No partitions. Just a BSD machine with IP(4) running on it.
Works very well and you always find out who it is that wants to steal
your grocery bill. They aren't proud. They ain't bothered. They'll
steal anything. Root exploits are kept back with the hardware
firewall. In theory.
You do lock your own front door don't you ? :)
