Re: [Sheflug] Flash Readers
I use a Safeway Compact Flash reader that I bought from an ebay seller in
Sheffield. Their ebay store is called OAP Computers. Any compact flash
reader that implements the USB Mass storage protocol will work. A good
test for this is to plug it into a Win 2k machine - if it recognizes it
without needling to install any drivers then there's a good chance that
you'll be able to use it with Linux. You need Kernel version 2.4.18 which
is included with Redhat 7.3 but not 7.2.
I haven't had any experience with any of the Sandisk readers, however I
asked a similar question to you before I bought my CF reader in April/May
so check the list archives - I got plenty of replies.
Hope this helps
Mark
