HTML was "designed" to structure text for layout, using it in this way 
for display email hardly seems a great lateral leap.

What is it that you wan't in relation to email?

I take it you never use a browser then.

Again you come back to the "a good client" argument.


Anyway the point is HTML email is very useful for somethings, but should 
only be sent to someone who consents to receiving it, i.e. not lists.
