That's a shame, but I understand your experience.

Don't forget though, that part of the reason that Windows is so 'easy to
use', is because all the devices you mention no doubt came with Window's
drivers and software - written by the hardware vendor or some such
without having to hack/patch/reverse engineer etc.  Now, if that
situation were changed then we'd see an easier life for all of us who
are sticking with GNU/Linux.

For example.  I've just got hold of Unreal Tournament 2003.  It ships
with Linux server (well, yes of course) and client(!!!) binaries. 
That's more like it.

Sad to see you go, but I really do think that our time will come and
you'll be back... well I hope so.
