Can someone please tell me what the differences are between xinetd and inetd? 
I normally use slack which uses inetd and got used to the way it worked. I've 
just replaced slack with RH 8 and that uses xinetd and now I'm a little 
confused =o) Is it safe to uninstall xinetd and put inetd on? Although I 
wouldn't know how to do this.
