Konqueror.. ftp transfer across an internal network.  You open up a 
second instance of Konqueror and drag and drop.
ftp://alec [at] 192.168.1.2 as an example.  Works fine for me :)

Just like using an MS file manager.  Although, you do have to remember 
which files and folders you transferred.  Rsync does it for you.
