Package-by-package upgrade; there's some users on alt.os.linux.slackware 
that tend to keep bang up to date with slackware-current. There is however 
a tool, swaret (check freshmeat for it), that can do this automagically if 
you have at least Slack 8.1. I might see how well it works for 8.0 though :)
