Hmm, usually they're setup for you when you install the software. Are you
sure there isn't something in /etc/init.d/ that you can just link to?
Some systems have chkconfig (or something) to set these up for you, you
might want to have a look at that stuff as well.
But basically, do it as late as possible. There will be a certain order
required - for example, you won't be able to start named or dhcpd before
networking has started. If dhcpd updates named, then it would also be
best to start named first. If anything depends on them to work (most
network applications would require named to be running, for example),
then obviously they would need to start before then too.
