[Sheflug] Producing Animations

Hi All,

I've just discovered povray and am now using it to produce great images
- although I do have to convert them to eps :-(

I'm also investigating using povray to produce animations. This is quite
easy and it basically generates lots of png files.

Does anyone know of any great packages that are easy to use and can
convert from a set of frames (they can be pngs or tiff) to a format that
I can incorporate into OOImpress - does this have to be animated GIF?

I can use GIMP but it's tedious - especially if there are lots of
frames.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and apologies if I'm not
supposed to ask this kind of thing on this list.
