Hi Chris

Yes I would like our college to dual boot with the student having the
choice of Windoze 2k or Mandrake 9.1 (poss XPde)

I have tried to install on my mandrake 9.1 system as the INSTALL
document, the install.sh script defaults to /opt/xpde you need to make
changes to two files as documented on the web site.

/etc/X11/Xsession

/usr/share/config/kdm/kdmrc

However Chris I have encountered problems on the Mandrake 9.1 as XPde is
started it looks for the installation in the root ( / ) directory of the
operating system. I did place a .xinitrc file in home directory of root
/root but it still fails on loading in the right way. I never use kdm to
startx and it gives no clues how to startx in the INSTALL file, from a
terminal.

Can it help with the leaning curve for teachers, learners and the like,
yes, more so for younger children as they except change more easy, and
don't know who bill may be!

Any one who could help solve this problem with good documentation I
would like to here from

regards
