Some of the inode numbers of the directories are more than 65535 - but
running the cpio command from the shell seems to work fine, even without -H
newc.
I tried adding -H newc to the cpio line in the Expect script anyway, but
still produces the same error message, but at 1148171 blocks.
Thanks for your ideas anyway.
