Caveat Emptor. Myself and some of my staff have had problems with eBuyer.
They're cheap, but...

Please elaborate. I've been looking at a few on ebuyer simply because of the price.
I'm sure, like all companies that process as many orders as ebuyer, they have problems with orders from time to time. There have been stories of items being DOA, or things that are claimed to be in stock that aren't or simply people having difficult getting returns processed in a timely fashion.

I know of at least 50 orders that have been placed by myself/friends/customers with any problems.

Obviously, one of the key areas to keeping costs down is the staffing levels, so I'm sure if they have 4 people in customer service, they aren't going to employ a fifth until there's enough work to keep them busy as well.

You pays your money, you takes your choice.

http://www.dabs.com/ seem to fair better in this area.

http://www.scan.co.uk/ are also quite good for pricing, especially their "today only" section - they had similar poor stories about aftersales service, but I think that was a case of growing pains and they managed to recruit enough staff to sort it out. Interestingly, eBuyer have been advertising for more staff recently, so perhaps they're in a similar situation?
