Yes. I remember when I first started using GNU/Linux office suites
some years ago I missed the stuff that I used to do with Mathematica
and Mathcad and Chemoffice - www.camsoft.com - but, looks like I can
now do a lot of this on the Linux desktop.
Add in Koffice and Abiword 2.0 and you can really begin to go places.
Even last year Marc Duerner over at SHU was doing his work for the
University with Koffice on his GNU/Linux Debian laptop. Certain
amount of choice in the present day.
He was very impressed as well.
