Re: [Sheflug] Installing rpms with SUSE YAST

rpm --install /path/to/new/rpm

Rather than using Yast and rpm to do installs I've recently discovered the joy
of apt.

see

http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/

It seems to simplify the act of installing rpms and downloading the correct
dependencies. I just installed the lates gnome packages / themes for SuSE
from http://www.usr-local-bin.org and its a really magnificent desktop. I
think the latest gnome is desktop that Sun are using.
