Don't think this is quite right.
Mine reads:
set mbox = ~/Maildir
mailboxes = /var/mail/maulkin
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.textmi
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.neil
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.bcs
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.gofftrumps
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.broadstone
mailboxes = ~/Maildir/.gothdotnet
mailboxes = ~/Maildir
[...]
set folder = ~/Maildir
set spoolfile=~/Maildir
set mbox_type = Maildir
