[Sheflug] Spanning hard disks

I've got a collection of smaller hard disks I want to install in a machine
as a "file server" for use at home. Is there any way in Linux to get one
"storage space" spanning the disks. E.G. I have 4x 4GB disks and I'd like
to create 1 'partition' that I can store up to 4GB of system files and one I
can store up to 12GB of video files etc.

Thanks

Chris
