[Sheflug] Linux Dual/Multi Booting Using NTLDR

I'm working on a dual boot for someone at the moment, and have run into a
small hitch.

First off, Windows XP is installed to the first partition.

Then SUSE 9 is installed to the second partition, which is set active during
the installation.

I've then rebooted into SUSE and used the 'dd' command to save the bootblock
to a file, which is then copied to the Windows XP C:\ drive and added to the
boot menu as an option. (To reboot back into XP, the Windows partition has
to be set active).

Now when the system is booted, the NT start menu shows both options, but if
I pick the SUSE option the screen goes blank and doesn't go any further.

I've read a lot of web sites that all say to copy the Linux bootblock over
as I have done, but it doesn't want to play.

(I'm assuming the windoze partition has to remain the active one after the
installations).

Any ideas anyone ?

Thanks.

Steve.
