Thanks for posting the above.

I have the original Audigy Platinum card and have never been able to get it
to work with any Linux distro.

Are you using the digital output with the supplied Creative digital lead
(the one with the orange plug on one end and green double connector on the
other) ?

I'm using said lead going into a Creative 5700 speaker system and have never
had sound from it under Linux...
