Re: [Sheflug] laptop advent 7240

Fred,

I don't know much about laptops, but I have a Yamaha OPC3 SAx soundcard (an old ISE on in my desktop) anyhow I had heeps of trouble getting it working, but it is possible. I had to use the ALSA drivers at www.alsa-project.org the instructions are at http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-doc/doc-php/template.php?company=Yamaha&card=&chip=OPL3-SA3&module=opl3sa2. If you have windows 98 on there too it should be easier as you can use that to find out what IRQ and ports the card is using I only run linux an so I had to guess what IRQ it was on which was my biggest problem.

Anyhow good luck
