You can also come along to our Linux seminar on the 23rd which is
where the AFFS was formed. Our seminar is there for the purposes of
allowing people such as yourself and Sheffield University to come
along and ask questions of people who can answer your questions. Even
though the AFFS was formed here we didn't see them come back last
year. This is at an event which was formed for free software people
and business people to interact with each other and not to hide down
in London. A place that most of us don't go to and never will.
It costs you nothing to attend. You will need to register right now.
This can be done at...

in fact we had already decided to attend (-:
I registerd right now.
O'Reilly who have a public policy of giving away books on the internet
- you don't pay for them - will be here in the shape of Josette
Garcia. Josette will be offering books at discount prices. But, if
you wait a year or so you can get the same books from the net for
nothing. O'Reilly have been known to publish some excellent books.
Josette has had to take time out of her busy schedule to come to
Sheffield. Someone should at least show interest.
could you give me more information on that? I was only aware of safari
(http://safari.oreilly.com/), but it is a not free service.
by the way, do you know if there are any linux magazines in uk? I moved
from Italy and we have a good choice of magazines focused on free
software (I think at least 8 different magazines, and you can find the
most populars almost anywere). I went in most sheffield bookshops /
newspaper kiosks and I could not find similar publications.
thanks in advance,
Andres
