A great place is the Ofset site.  They do a boot CD called FREEDUC (search
google for this).  Its got loads on from basic mouse skills, through english
and maths games, drawing apps, celestial maps, 3d modelling etc to
demographic databases of the known world.  Best bit is there is no worry
about installing stuff, it runs straight from the CD and with sound if
you're lucky!  My 2 year son old loves the mouse games in GCompris!  Must
buy another computer!
