[Sheflug] IDE Cards

Hi guys

The primary IDE channel on my motherboard has always acted slightly funky,
but now it's seriously gone pop. I need a plain and simple IDE card that's
know to work under Linux and is preferably really rather cheap.

When I was last specc'ing my last PC IDE cards were easy to find - Maplins,
£25. Nowadays they seem to be bl**dy hard to find - I can't find any!

Does anyone know of anywhere that'll still sell a cheap PCI IDE card?

I've thought about using a cheap IDE-RAID card because although they do
pretty much all the RAID stuff in the Windows driver most of them are
still usable under Linux as an IDE adaptor. Any recommendations/
experience?

Thanks
alex/melt
