I may be wrong but you might be better off getting a new motherboard. A
quick look on Ebuyer (this is not a recommendation though, not that I've had
bad service from them though either) shows motherboards (socket A) starting
at £17 for a:
"Socket A and FSB266/DDR266 Motherboard M811LU is the most advance and
unique module from PCCHIPS production. It supports Socket A for Athlon
XP/Duron CPU, 266MHz FSB, DDR 266 and AGP4X slot to deliver the best
price/performance."
27 people have reviewed it and it comes out well.
