[Sheflug] Debian 3.0
Hello
Installed the latest version of debian on a IBM PL300 running a PII 350mhz 128mb ram, 6GB HDD, on board intel nic, S3 trio on video, crystal on board sound, usb.
Everything runs ok, I create all my partitions and modules fine, its when I come to the point of installing the base system I run in to trouble, at this point debian creates /instmnt mounts it to the cdrom after creating a package list and starts to install the base .deb packages until it reaches one of them(these are different each time) hangs then after a while claims the file is corrupt when I know for definate it isn't, I've tried on another machine different spec but it installs ok.
Does anyone have any clues as to why it is doing this?
I've spent many a night trying to sort but to know joy!
And my mrs is going to throw the machine out cos she not happy at all...
Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards
Imran
