I was a little misleading or at least missed some information out. The Pcs
we bought were refurbished but all appeared as new, even the boxes were new,
no resealed tape or anything. They were from a company called PA Business
Systems who have offices in Hull and distribution near Worksop ( I think)
and they do refurbished NEC (IIRC) kit from the high streets (amongst
others) so the brands are Packard Bell and the like. They supply a whole
local education authority in the Midlands somewhere near Birmingham and the
reports, from the conversation I had with their technical person, are that
the company is very good to work with. We purchased a palette of 18 Athlon
based 256MB RAM PCs and 15" TFT monitors with 3 years on site support for a
very competitive price (sub £10k) for one of our local schools. Take a look
at www.orderit-online.com, acc 1008, usr education, pw teacher for prices
for education. Can't remember (Marcus) is you are in education but for
those others on the list that are you can see the prices and for those that
are not in education you can contact them via the web page for their other
price list.
