I have a similar experience but at slightly different times.  This is 
for a capped account at only 15Gb per month at a cost of £25. Not 
worth the money

I'm waiting to return to the ISP that I've used for the past ten 
years.       Of course, BT have lost the paperwork and my postcode 
once again.
