Just to add my own 2p's worth.

My Debian GNU/Linux machine is mostly point and click with a nice KDE 
3.2.3 desktop.  I can use command line if I want to for admin or 
something else.  The sound system makes Mozart or Beethoven sound 
really good.  

To add software from the net I just click on a few things and sit back 
and wait for a few minutes.  Both Mandrake and SuSE are even easier 
than that.  

As Alec said... it so much easier than winduhs :)  But, with winduhs I 
just snore straight off.  Which is just what I did in front of a 
Win2k machine this afternoon.
