Kopete by far is the best Messenger I have ever used. And yes, it will do
smileys. It is fantastic to have all my friends (I call them friends!) from
ICQ (good old days), MSN (bad new days) and Yahoo, in one nice and clean
interface.

Gnomeeting, as installed by Suse 9.1 worked like a charm with my £12 USB no
name Camera. I managed (not that I had to try hard) to have a conversation
between gnomeeting and MS Netmeeting and I was well impressed.

I think, slowly Linux is going to get a bigger and bigger partition in my
Hard Drive!
