I have gone through the router to see if there is anything like your
suggestions. Not found anything yet but will have a look on the Netgear
website.
However, if the problem is on the router, how come the same problem does not
arise when using Win XP and the same set-up on the router?
In other words, isn't it more likely that the problem is seated in the Linux
configuration rather than the router?
It is the same router, with the same configuration, using DHCP, in Windows and
Suse9.3. The time lag is only in Linux.
The time lag happens when I am jumping from one site to another. Time does not
affect this. I can be in one site for a minute and try to go to another and
the lag happens.
Though some sites like BBC News and Google are not affected at all, I get an
almost instant connection these all the time. Though I use these sites often,
other sites I use more than these are affected by the time lag before
downloading.
It is not a big problem, it is an annoying one, and given the quality of the
whole Suse/KDE desktop I am using with everything including Beagle working
excellently it is one I want to get to the bottom of....
So as usual any ideas would be appreciated.
