[Sheflug] NTP (or pedantism)
Hi
/etc/services on my install of SuSE 9.2 lists 123/TCP as an NTP port.
/etc/services on my install of OpenBSD 3.6 doesn't.
Both list 123/UDP as an NTP port.
Somewhere in the depths of http://www.ntp.org/ntpfaq/ it states that NTP
is a UDP protocol as does the 2nd edition Steven's Unix Network
Programming Book published in the last century.
Anyone know if there is an NTP service on TCP ?
Regards
Lesley
