Try the command 'who'

You will probably find two instances of yourself.

for example on my machine:
david [at] sixtyfour:~> who
david    :0           2005-05-26 15:41 (console)
david    pts/0        2005-05-26 15:41
david    pts/1        2005-05-26 15:47
