It could be that either the software isn't detecting the amount of RAM
on your card, or that you don't have enough RAM on the card to run those
resolutions. If it's the former, you'll need to tell it how much RAM you
have. If it's the latter, you probably need to reduce the colour depth
to achieve the resolution you want.

Both will involve editing your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 - either altering
the VideoRam or DefaultDepth settings.

If you can tell us what card you have, someone might have the settings
you need. It could also be that your system is loading the wrong driver,
and it's defaulting to a safe mode.
