[Sheflug] Opie/Ipaq
Hi,
I took the plunge last night and installed linux on my old Ipaq 3600. I
went for opie/familiar and installed from a CF card:
http://familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/releases/v0.7.2/install/download.html
Fairly straight forward and I only had my heart in my mouth once after I
had been playing with it for half an hour it died, but a hard reset
fixed it - phew!!
I can't seem to find any of the applications (other than PIM) on the
menu and all applications mentioned in the package manager seem to be
installed. I am looking for:
sheet (spreadsheet)
remote (ir remote)
opie player 2
games (Chess to play on the train in the morning)
I think my google skills are deserting me!
Though it does look ominous! Just found this in the opie FTP
As of January 2005, Opie is no longer in packaging business. See your
distributor for Opie feeds. Hmmmmm.
Thanks
Steve
