[Sheflug] Amarok and MP3's

Hi,

I've been playing with various flavours of Linux for sometime but 
recently settled on Kubuntu 5.10 and due to my XP needing a rebuild 
again it's prompted my desire to really move away from XP and onto 
Linux.  So i installed Kubuntu onto another HD inside this machine and 
GRUB worked nicely (except once it told me none of my drives were there) 
and so i have a dual boot system.

Things went very well, i upgraded my Nvidia drivers so my 6800Ultra 
worked, i managed to install DoomIII and Quake IV (of which i can only 
save when running on Root - i'll figure that later) but i cannot get 
Amarok to play MP3's. 
What's the easiest way to get MP3's to play in Amarok?  I now rip as Ogg 
but i still have 40gb+ of music that i really could do with playing.
