I'm now very happy with my hx4700, running Familiar Linux 0.8.3. It connects
to the web using bluetooth, via a Vodafone Datacard SIM in a 3G phone; Dillo
runs the fastest for simple web pages, the default Minimo browser is slower
but supports Javascript. OpenSSH installed OK and works fine with X11
forwarding.

The hx4700 isn't officially supported by Familiar yet, but it all works (tho'
bluetooth and networking need command line setup) *except WiFi*. I wouldn't
like to use the Sylpheed graphical email client with a much smaller screen
than the 4" 640x480 one on the 4700.

Only problem I didn't expect was the lack of a USB host adapter (like most
PDAs), so the GPS dongle can't connect directly; there also appears to be
more Linux apps available for the Zaurus and other iPAQs, though when a new
stable Opie image that will run on the hx4700 is released this may change;
the embedded Konqueror browser was always crashing in Familiar 0.8.2.
