Has anyone used mencoder to stick back discrete jpgs to produce an avi
movie?

I'm trying to do just that but for some reason, although the movie is
the right length with the correct number of frames, it only has two
frames in it which it loops between.

I've tried several codecs, all to no avail, so it's apparently not codec
related.
