Yep, i do it for a webcam to make a weekly movie..

I use this..which i stole from a website someqwhere, i have messed
with codecs and have to use msmpeg4 since the stupid windows machines
here don't seem to like anything other than that.

mencoder mf:///mnt/data_2/webcam/$1_tmp/*.jpeg -mf \
w=352:h=292:fps=25:type=jpg -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4 -oac \
copy -o /tmp/short_build.avi
